Ergonomics assessment tool
SHORT SUMMARY
This TestBed provides the MASTER XR ergonomics assessment scene, designed to teach and apply ergonomic evaluation methods in a controlled VR environment. Users perform simple manual tasks (pick-and-place, load lifting, part insertion and basic machine operations) while their posture and movement are captured in real time using VR motion tracking (e.g., 3D Camera). A Digital Human Model is used to compute ergonomic indicators such as RULA. The scene provides feedback, illustrations and demonstrations to help users improve techniques, reduce ergonomic risks and iterate on workstation configuration. The TestBed supports Industry 5.0 objectives by embedding worker wellbeing, safety and inclusive workplace design into the engineering and training cycle, enabling evidence-based ergonomic improvements before physical changes are made.
